Advisory Committee

The purpose of the San Diego Black Arts + Culture District Advisory Committee is to connect with the community and make recommendations to SDAAMFA regarding the arts and cultural activities within the district. The Advisory Committee will develop criteria, to be used in making recommendations related to cultural programing, public art, call for artists, marketing of the district, and host various informational workshops.

The committee is comprised of residents, artists, musicians, educators, non-profits, and business and property owners. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month, 6:00 PM at the Second Chance Building located at 6145 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA and are open to the public.

The next Advisory Committee Meeting will take place at 6:00pm on Tuesday September 16, 2025 at Second Chance (6145 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA 92114).

Currently, we have two youth positions for visual or performing artists
